ANGER

Have you ever been angry?
so angry that you have scared yourself.

You try to look in the mirror for any changes,
& then for a split second you see him staring back within.

So, you start to run after him down the abyss
As you never believed in this tale of green monster.

You finally see him at tied in the corner with chains
& you approach him to see that green glint again in those eyes.

I tried to run as he saw me, running out of breath.
I realized i need to fight him out.

This beast which was once kept sealed,
is out now with the key to my destruction.
The hate now is compressed in him for eternity ‘
& he is hell bent on wreaking only havoc.

After all those battles with my now dead armies,
i saw the green monster nowhere. i was relieved.
But, that was just for a very finite moment.
i saw the beast claw its way out amongst the ruins.

Dripping in warm fresh blood of pounding anger and hate,
he roared at me and said ‘All i want is you’.

I knew there was nothing i could do now.
I was on my knees, tired with no hope left.
waiting for him to charge down and devour me.

I could sense him in my veins already.
I am turning into that being of anger.
Please help me now… Please… or I’ll soon be that green avenger.
